My 42nd birthday was celebrated with the Boy Scouts. We went camping on my birthday! We were at Sly Park. It was beastly hot at back home that when we reached the campsite it started cooling off.
Pollock Pines was 10 degrees cooler than home. Sweet!
On our way to the campsite, we drove by Jenkinson Lake. We can only see through the lake. I looked gorgeous. Hope I get o see the lake up close!

After a few mins of hard work, the BARN is finally up. This was the first time that the barn was out in summer of 2014. We need to work on getting the barn out more often. It's not too late. We can still find some time to camp.
Here is the inside of our tent...4 sleeping pads, 4 pillows and 4 sleeping bags. Here's hoping for a good night sleep at the campsite.
Camp dinner is ready! Not the traditional camping food but it works. These were left overs from my birthday dinner and birthday lunch, Salad, fillet mignon, steamed veggies and mashed potato. Like everyone said, food at the campsite always tastes better even if it is left over. And I agree! Yum!
