Day 1 (April 3) - Tárcoles River

Our Drive:

After the Volcano Experience, we were now headed to the Tárcoles River. This river is the most contaminated river in Costa Rica but is a habitat for the American Crocodiles. We hope to see crocodiles.

Gotta know the speed limit here.

Before headed out to the Tarcoles Bridge, we stopped by the fruit stand to get some refreshments. Kitty had coconut juice and John had strawberry-banana smoothie. He said it was the best smoothie ever!

Now we are ready to see the crocodiles. Crossing the bridge to see the crocodile is very dangerous since this is a major road and the sidewalk is very narrow - only one person can walk on the sidewalk. One has to walk on the very narrow shoulder to let the oncoming pedestrian pass. Not a very safe way of doing thing things. This would never fly in the US.

I see a crocodile!

I see another one!

Up close and personal - using my lens.
