Day 5 - On Our Way to the Next Adventure

Our Drive

Yesterday we drove from the hotel to the Manuel Antonio National Park. Although it's only a 45 mile drive, it took us about an hour 20 mins to get to the park. We left around 5:30 am to meet our tour group at Quepos by 7:30 am.

Below are pictures that were taken along the 34 highway:
We saw a lot kids walking to school.

People on their way to work.

Road workers ready for the day

Little town of Parritas

I love this mountain range.

Tractors slowing everyone down.

We also have to overtake the trucks that's slowing everyone down.

We noticed a lot of dogs along the highway and everywhere.

Waiting for the bus.

Walking to work.

A lot of people taking their bikes to work.

We noticed that the police cars and ambulances don't have their sirens on during emergency. They only use the flashing lights. I am not sure how many Ticos are observing the emergency lights. We have not seen any drivers pull over to the side of the road when the emergency light is on.

Getting a ride to school

At Quepos, we picked up a traditional Costa Rican breakfast at Soda Sanchez.

Pinto de Gallo, Plantains and Chicken (with enchilada sauce). It was yummy!

Kitty slept through the drive.

 Mariposa Hotel
We stopped by at the Mariposa Hotel to meet the rest of our tour group. Below are pictures taken at the Mariposa Hotel. The hotel is pretty.
